Yamaha has updated its quarter-liter naked motorcycle the FZ-25 in the South American market. The Yamaha FZ-25 is sold in Brazil as the Nova Fazer FZ-25 and comes with new colours and features. This includes new colours such as Racing Blue, Magma Red, Titanium Grey and Branco Cristal. In addition to this, the new Fazer FZ-25 also comes with new features such as new ORVMs, LED indicators as well as a new larger full digital instruments cluster.
New Features
Earlier, the Fazer FZ-25 was sold with halogen indicators and a smaller digital display. For 2024, the brand has introduces a new display with bluetooth connectivity features. The display also comes with Yamaha’s Y-Connect App that offers connectivity features such as the phones battery status as well as notifications.
Connectivity Features on the new Dashboard
In addition to the connectivity features, the display layout is also new and features a tachometer, speed readout, trip details, odometer, and fuel gauge. However, a gear position indicator appears to be missing. Flanking the digital display are tell tale lights for Neutral indication, Check Engine Lamp, ABS Fault indicator, High Beam On indicator lamp as well as Turn Indicator on lamps. Also, the Fazer FZ-25 comes with a 12-volt charging socket.
Will it come back to India?
The Nova Fazer FZ-25 in the Brazilian market is sold at the price of BRL 23,59,000 which roughly converts to INR 3.5 lakhs. The Yamaha FZ-25 was also sold in the Indian market, but was discontinued here due to the lack of demand. Will Yamaha bring back the FZ-25 with the new updates to India, we highly doubt that. But when it was sold here, the bike came with a 249cc single-cylinder air-oil-cooled fuel injected engine that produced 22 PS of power and was matched to a 5-speed gearbox.
