KTM has updated the new 250 Duke in the Indian market with an exciting new feature. The KTM 250 Duke came with a monochrome LCD instruments cluster. But that has now changed, the brand is now offering the KTM 250 Duke with a new colour TFT display which is seen on the KTM 390 Duke. In addition to this, the 250 Duke has also been upgraded with LED DRLs similar to the KTM 390 Duke. These new changes will not only add to the value for money of the motorcycle but also the appeal of it. The updates are likely to attract more buyers especially during the festive season when the buying sentiments are high.
Other Changes
The KTM 250 Duke also comes with a 4-way switch cube on the left-hand-side to control the new colour dashboard. The brand continues to offer rider assist features on the 250 Duke similar to before. The body work design and the graphics continue to be similar to the current model which are slightly smaller than the 390 Duke. Also, the 250 Duke remains mechanically unchanged. The motorcycle continues with the same engine, chassis, suspension and other parts.
Powertrain & Features
Powering the 250 Duke is a 250cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled SOHC engine. This engine produces 31 Hp of power and 25 Nm and torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is encompassed in a steel trellis frame and an aluminum subframe. The bike rides on upside down front fork suspension and a mono shock on the rear. The 250 Duke also comes with a 15-litre fuel tank capacity and weighs 163 kgs at the kerb. With the new updates, the KTM 250 Duke also gets a slight bump in its price tag.
KTM also plans to bring the new KTM 250 Adventure soon in the Indian market in a new and updated avatar. While KTM has added the new colour display to the 250 Duke, the test mule of the upcoming 250 Adventure still had the monochrome LCD unit. However, that could be only for testing and the final product may also get a colour TFT display.
