The MY25 update brings subtle refinements while retaining the core DNA that makes the Springfield a favorite among cruiser enthusiasts.
Engine and performance
At the heart of the Springfield is the 1,890cc air-cooled Thunderstroke 116 V-twin engine, producing a robust 97.6 hp and 171 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, offering smooth power delivery and effortless highway cruising.
Despite its retro styling, the Springfield is loaded with modern features like:
- Ride-by-wire throttle
- Cruise control
- Selectable ride modes (Tour, Standard, Sport)
- Keyless ignition
Design and variants
The motorcycle is available in two distinct trims:
- Standard: Features classic chrome accents, leather saddlebags, and a quick-release windshield.
- The Dark Horse: Offers a more aggressive look with blacked-out components, cast wheels, and a sleeker stance.
Both variants come with premium touring seats, adjustable rear suspension, and ample storage, making them ideal for long-distance rides.

With a starting price of INR 41.96 lakh, the new motorcycle line-up slots between the Chieftain and Pursuit in Indian Motorcycle’s heavyweight range. It competes with rivals like the Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic and BMW R 18 Classic.
