Tata Motors has upgraded its Altroz hatchback. The 2024 Altroz now gets four new variants, more features, and rejigged powertrain options. Most features have been borrowed from the upcoming premium hatchback, Tata Altroz Racer scheduled for launch on June 7, 2024.
What’s New?
The updated Altroz hatchback is now available in 11 variants:
- XE
- XM
- XM S
- XM+
- XM+ S
- XT
- XZ
- XZ Lux
- XZ+ S
- XZ+ S Lux
- XZ+ OS
The latter four variants are newly added to the existing lineup. In terms of features, the 2024 Altroz comes equipped with:
- A larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- A 7-inch digital instrument cluster with a new user interface
- Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- Blind spot monitor
- An air purifier
- 360-degree camera
- Six airbags
Powertrain Options
Tata Motors has removed the turbo-petrol motor from the regular Altroz. Now, the hatchback is powered by the following engine choices:
- 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol
- 1.2-liter naturally aspirated with iCNG (compressed natural gas)
- 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel
These powertrains are coupled with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission) gearbox.
The Altroz continues to be a strong contender in the premium hatchback segment, offering a blend of safety, features, and style. With these updates, Tata aims to enhance the Altroz’s appeal to a wider audience. The price for the Tata Altroz start at INR 6.64 lakh and goes up to INR 10.79 lakh ex-showroom.
