Kawasaki has been on a launching spree. After announcing the launch of the 2024 range of bikes, the Japanese bike maker has revealed one more. This time it is the 2024 Kawasaki Z900 RS. The price is set at INR 16.80 lakh and the bike is available in a single paint shade of Metallic Diablo Black.
MY24 Kawasaki Z900 RS : More Details
The new version of the bike retains the retro looks of the outgoing model. It gets a large circular headlamp, twin pod instrument cluster, sculpted fuel tank, a large single unit seat and single-side mounted exhaust. The bike rides on spoke wheels.
In terms of features, the bike gets all-LED lighting, partially digital instrument cluster, dual channel ABS and Kawasaki Traction Control. There is an assist and slipper clutch as well.
Braking hardware consists of twin 300mm discs and a single 250mm disc at the back. The bike rides of upside-down front forks and rear monoshock.
Powertrain of the 2024 Kawasaki Z900 RS
The Z900RS carries forward the liquid-cooled, 948cc, inline-four engine. This is the same engine that does the duty in the sporty middleweight Z900 naked bike. But on the RS, Kawasaki returned for more mid-range grunt. This engine makes 107 BHP at 8,500 rpm and 95 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Furthermore, the engine now meets new emissions norms.
Kawasaki Z H2 and Z H2 SE
Meanwhile, Kawasaki India has launched the Z H2 and Z H2 SE range of bikes in India. The 2024 Z H2 is priced from INR 23.48 lakh while the SE version will start from INR 27.76 lakh. All prices ex-showroom. Bookings for both these bikes are now open. Both the bikes come with a 998cc inline four-cylinder engine. The engine gets a liquid cooled supercharger. In terms of numbers, the engine pushes out 197.2 BHP @ 11,000 rpm and 137 Nm @ 8,500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox.
