Kawasaki has launched the MY24 Kawasaki Z900 RS in the Indian market at the price of INR 16.80 lakh ex-showroom. The neo-retro motorcycle will come to India as a CBU (Completely Built Up Unit) import and is now available to order from all Kawasaki showroom in India. The Z900 RS comes with a retro-classic design, but gets a modern Euro5-spec inline-four liquid cooled engine. The Kawasaki Z900 RS also features the latest electronic suite and emission compliance.
2024 Kawasaki Z900 RS – Retro Design, Modern Features
The Kawasaki Z900 RS comes with features such as LED headlamp and LED taillamps. The motorcycle gets a rounded headlamp and a duck-bill inspired tail cowling. The tail section draws inspiration from the Kawasaki Z1 while blending modern features with old-school design.
In addition to this, the Kawasaki Z900 RS also comes with a Dual-Dial instrumentation cluster which comes with a Multi-Function LCD. The Z900 RS comes with an analogue-style speedometer and tachometer dials. In between the two dials, the cluster features a negative LCD display. The instruments cluster also gets a bullet-style dial cases with a spindle finish on the dial faces.
The Kawasaki Z900 RS also comes with a teardrop fuel tank that reverberates with its retro theme and is reminiscent of the Kawasaki Z1. The motorcycle also comes with flat spokes design alloy wheels to look like classic wire-spoked wheels. The brand also offers a chrome-finish exhaust on the Z900 RS.
2024 Kawasaki Z900 RS – Powertrain
Powering the Kawasaki Z900 RS is an in-line 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The motor develops 111 PS of power and 98.5 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The Z900 RS features a high-tensile steel trellis frame that rides on upside down front fork suspension and a monoshock on the rear. The motorcycle also comes with 300mm dual discs on the front and a single 250mm disc on the rear.
