The Hyundai Alcazar is all set to receive a facelift in 2024. Recent spy shots reveal exciting updates, including a fresh red color option. Let’s dive into the details.
Exterior Changes
- Red Color Option: The latest test mule of the Alcazar was spotted in a vibrant red hue, marking a first for the Alcazar nameplate in India1. This eye-catching color adds a touch of sportiness to the SUV.
- Design Elements: The front fascia has been revamped to resemble the facelifted Hyundai Creta. Borrowing design cues from the Creta, the Alcazar now features a grille and split-type headlights that set it apart from the outgoing model.
- Alloy Wheels: The test mule showcased new alloy wheels, likely 18-inch units (larger than the current-spec model). These wheels enhance the Alcazar’s visual appeal.
Expected Interior Updates and Features
- Dashboard Layout: Inside, the Alcazar facelift could adopt a similar dual 10.25-inch display setup as the new Creta. One screen will serve as the infotainment system, while the other will function as the instrument cluster.
- Comfort and Convenience: Expect features like a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, and wireless phone charging.
- Safety: The facelifted Alcazar may come equipped with six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and an electronic stability program. There’s also a possibility of an advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) suite.
Unchanged Powertrain Options
The Alcazar facelift is likely to retain the same engine options as the current model:
- 1.5-liter Turbo-Petrol: 160 PS power and 253 Nm torque, available with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
- 1.5-liter Diesel: 116 PS power and 250 Nm torque, offered with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
Expected Price
While official pricing is yet to be announced, we anticipate the Alcazar facelift to command a premium of INR 50,000 to 1 lakh over the current model, which starts at INR 16.78 lakh (ex-showroom)
