MY24 Honda CB200X gets slipper assist clutch

Written by News Team

The 2024 Honda CB200X has recently been launched in India, bringing new updates to the popular motorcycle segment. Priced at INR 1.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), this adventure bike caters to riders seeking a versatile and capable machine for both city commuting and occasional off-road adventures.

New Feature

One of the key features of the CB200X is its new assist and slipper clutch system. This enhancement significantly reduces the effort required to operate the clutch lever, making it ideal for navigating congested city traffic. The slipper function also prevents wheel lock during aggressive downshifting, ensuring smoother transitions and improved safety.

In terms of design and ergonomics, the CB200X is based on the Honda Hornet 2.0 platform. It features adventure styling cues, including a tall windscreen, knuckle guards with integrated turn indicators, and a new fairing that contributes to its rugged appearance. The handlebar risers provide an upright riding posture, enhancing comfort during long rides.

Powering the CB200X is a 184.4cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It produces 17 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 15.9 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The five-speed gearbox ensures smooth gear shifts. The chassis and suspension setup includes a steel diamond frame housing a USD fork at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends.

In terms of features, the CB200X offers all-LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, and a straightforward negative LCD display. However, it lacks Bluetooth connectivity and navigation features, which are becoming common in this price range. The CB200X is available in three colors: Sports Red, Pearl Nightstar Black, and Decent Blue Metallic.

Overall, the 2024 Honda CB200X combines practicality, style, and performance, making it an attractive choice for riders seeking an adventure-oriented motorcycle. Whether you’re navigating city streets or exploring the trails, the CB200X aims to deliver a thrilling riding experience.
