Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Audi is set to make commuting and charging times more entertaining for drivers and passengers. Audi customers will not get a YouTube app in their App Store for select 2024 models. The new feature will come equipped with vehicles that get the MIB 3 infotainment system. Such as the A4/A5, Q5, A6/A7, A8, Q8 e-tron, and e-tron GT.

What Is The Experience Like?

YouTube is the first video app offered in the Audi store. With this, the users will have access to a vast library of content, considering that more than 500 hours of video are uploaded to the platform every minute. This extensive selection makes plenty to watch. Moreover, Audi also assures that the in-car YouTube app will function just like the smartphone version. Thus, allowing YouTube Premium members to log in and watch ad-free content.

Safe Is A Core Value For Audi

Safety remains a top priority for Audi. Hence to prevent distractions while driving, videos will only play when the vehicle is parked. This feature is in line with their commitment to responsible driving practices.

Audi’s move to incorporate a YouTube app sets the brand apart from its Volkswagen Group peers. It is the first to offer streaming video within the vehicle. However, the company’s announcement suggests that other brands within the group will follow suit in the future. One such example is the facelifted Porsche Cayenne. The SUV offers an optional 10.9-inch passenger display providing streaming video through Screenhits TV.

In addition to YouTube, the Audi App Store will also offer a variety of popular applications to enhance the in-car experience. These will include Spotify, TikTok, Yelp, Webex, and The Weather Channel. All these applications will cater to different preferences and ensure a diverse range of entertainment and services for users.

Audi Bringing In Customer-Centric Features

Audi’s move to introduce a YouTube app in their App Store for compatible 2024 models will undoubtedly enhance the driving experience for consumers. Thus allowing them to enjoy a wide array of entertainment options during their journeys while ensuring safety remains a top priority. As Audi leads the way, other Volkswagen Group brands will then follow suit, introducing streaming video options in their vehicles in the future.
