MY23 Kia EV6 bookings will open in India on 15th April 2023

Kia India announces some big news. It will resume the bookings for the all-electric EV6 from April 15, 2023, for the Indian market. To date, Kia has sold a total of 432 units of EVs. All of this happened last year. The above sales figure means EV6 is the best-selling premium electric car in the domestic market. Customers can have the all-electric Kia EV6 in two variants. These are GT Line and GT Line AWD. The prices start from INR 60.95 lakh and INR 65.95 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

What Is The Kia EV6?

Based on Kia’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), EV6 was launched in June 2022 in the Indian market. Some of the key highlighting features in the EV include ultra-fast DC charging, vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, and a flat-floor interior. The EV comes with a driving range of 708 km on a single charge. Customers can have the EV6 in five colour shade options. These are namely Runway Red, Yacht Blue, Aurora Black Pearl, Moonscape, and Snow White Pearl.

Kia India’s Charging Infrastructure Plans

To support the growing number of EVs in the market, Kia India announced its charging infrastructure expansion plans. Kia targets to expand the 150 kW high-speed charger network from the existing 15 dealerships to all 60 outlets. In August 2022, Kia installed India’s first and fastest ‘240kWh’ charger. The company also has ambitious plans to expand its EV dealer footprint. Currently, it stands strong at 15 select dealerships across 12 cities at the time of launch and the aim is to reach 60 outlets across 44 cities.
