MY23 Kawasaki Ninja 650 & Z650 get new colours + traction control

Kawasaki has unveiled its 2023 iterations of motorcycles for the international markets. The list of updated models comprises the company’s middleweight the Z650 roadster and Ninja 650 sports tourer.

What Changes Do We See?

The changes to the 2023 models include some styling additions, that come in the form of new colour shades. Thus, the 2023 Ninja 650 is now available in two colours. These are Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray and Lime Green. Meanwhile, the 2023 Z650 is now available in three colours, i.e., Metallic Spark Black, Metallic Phantom Silver, and Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray.

Equipment Upgrade

Apart from the styling updates, the 2023 iterations of the motorcycles also get a two-level traction control system upgrade. Noteworthy to mention, the design and mechanical specifications remain unaltered for these 2023 iterations of motorcycles. Thus, both motorcycles benefit from LED headlights, Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT display, and dual-channel ABS. As mentioned the mechanical specifications on these motorcycles remain the same. The motorcycles continue with the 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that makes 67 bhp at 8,000rpm and 64 Nm of peak torque at 6,700rpm.

India Launch Timeline

As of now, the Indian launch details about the 2023 Ninja 650 and Z650 are not available yet. But we might see the updated models arrive in our markets in early 2023.

Kawasaki has always been an aspirational brand in the country. The Ninja series is amongst the most popular series in the lineup. With the growing popularity of performance motorcycles in the market, Kawasaki’s range of motorcycles is now in much demand. The recent launch of W175 speaks volumes of the motorcycle’s dedication towards the Indian market. With this launch, W175 is the most entry-level Kawasaki one can get in India. The prices start from INR 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom). With these new updated models, Kawasaki will look to boost its sales volume and add more customers to its brand umbrella.
