Looking to get Classic Legends products? We have some good news for you all. The motorcycle maker has rolled out a slew of updates across various Jawa and Yezdi lineups of products. Across the board, the motorcycles are now BS6 Phase 2 (OBD-2) emissions norms compliant. In addition to this, both Jawa and Yezdi have also given some updates to improve refinement and rideability across the range.
Changes For Jawa’s Range Of Motorcycles
In the case of Jawa, the motorcycles to receive these updates are the 42, the 42 Bobber and the Perak. In addition to the emissions updates, the company mentioned that they have reworked some of the engine components. Thus with this, they claim to offer better NVH levels. In fact, they also remapped the engines and added a larger throttle body. The exhaust ports are also now bigger. Noteworthy to mention the 42 has received a new muffler. This will improve the exhaust note. Another key update is that the 42 now benefits from an assist-and-slipper clutch.
Changes For Yezdi’s Range Of Motorcycles
As for Yezdi, the motorcycles too also received similar updates. Thus we can expect better NVH levels. What’s unique with Yezdi is that all models have also received a larger rear sprocket. We believe this should improve acceleration and tractability marginally. Other than the mechanical upgrades, we do not see any aesthetic changes to the motorcycles.
Price Hike For Jawa And Yezdi Lineup Of Products
As a result of all the changes, motorcycles have also hiked the prices. And thus the prices have been increased across the board. The price increase ranges between INR 1,000 to INR 6,000. Talking of the average, the price increase is about INR 4,000. With the key updates, Classic Legends will become more desirable for customers. With a big fan following, both Jawa and Yezdi aim to sell in good numbers going forwards. Given the sheer number of motorcycles on Indian roads and the growing demand, there’s a lot to capitalise on for the two-wheeler makers.
