My Triumph Connectivity System now available for Street Triple RS and Tiger 800

Iconic British brand Triumph has announced that the previous model year Street Triple RS and Tiger 800 models with TFT instruments cluster will be able to upgrade their vehicle with My Triumph Connectivity System from 21st December 2020. The new retrofit system will be available for the MY 2017-19 Triumph Street Triple RS and MY 2018-19 Triumph Tiger 800 XRX, XCX, XCA. The system will also be available on the Tiger 1200 starting from 2021. The My Triumph Connectivity System can be used for ‘turn-by-turn’ navigation system, which has been built in partnership with Google, integrated GoPro control system, phone and music operation as well as motorcycle status monitoring. 

The new My Triumph Connectivity System offers one of the most useful comfort and convenience features that is Turn-by-turn navigation. This is the first time that Google has partnered with a premium motorcycle manufacturer and works with the My Triumph app to provide live navigation on the motorcycle’s TFT instruments screen. By adding the My Triumph Connectivity Module, smartphones can be seamlessly connected to the Triumph motorcycle via Bluetooth technology.

The application is available on IOS and Android platforms for free and allows easy route set-up, access to millions of Google points of interest, location-aware search suggestions and more. Furthermore, the navigation system also comes with what3words functionality that allows users to navigate within 3 square. Metres anywhere in the world each one a unique what3words address, made up of three words from the dictionary. The navigation system provides visual instruction through the TFT instruments along with voice guidance available through a Bluetooth headset if it is connected.

The My Triumph Connectivity System also features an integrated motorcycle GoPro control system, a world-first system that allows the rider to control the GoPro camera from the motorcycles left-hand switch cube and the functions appear on the instruments cluster. Connectivity system can also be used for key smartphone operations such as to check SMS messages and control music as well as to make and answer phone calls using the left-hand switch cube. 

A dedicated My Garage feature in the My Triumph app also enables Triumph owners to get key information about the motorcycle such as odometer, average fuel consumption, and time/distance to service, using Bluetooth connectivity technology.
