Motoroyale which is a part of the Kinetic Group have launched the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 in India. This is an adventure tourer motorcycle priced at INR 18.99 lakh ex-showroom, which makes it expensive for sure, but then, the looks compensate for it easily. The bike is brought to India via the CBU route and rivals the likes of Triumph Tiger 800 and Ducati Multistrada 950, which are significantly lower in their respective price tags.

Powering the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 is a 798cc, 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 12-valve, DOHC petrol motor which produces 110 BHP of power @ 10150 RPM and 80 Nm of torque @ 7100 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike gets a slipper-assist clutch with quickshifter and rides on 43mm USD Marzocchi front forks, fully adjustable Sachs rear monoshock and braking power comes with a Brembo brake setup backed by a dual-channel Bosch 9 Plus ABS.

The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 has a dry weight of 191 kg, ground clearance of 140mm and has a 21.5L fuel tank capacity.

In India, Motoroyale is only retailing the Standard 800 variant. Abroad, there are 3 other variants for the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 which include 800 Lusso, 800 Lusso SCS and a limited-edition RC SCS. However, those who want to order the 800 Lusso can place bookings while the SCS version will only come to India in 2020. The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 Lusso comes with additions such as cruise control, pannier for luggage and a Sachs front USD fork. The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 Lusso SCS brings additional features such as smart clutch system which allows for clutchless gear changing, even when you are at 0 kmph.

In terms of brand positioning, potential buyers can consider that this MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 is more of a daily rider iteration of the F3 sportsbike with 90% of the torque being delivered as low as 3,800 RPM making it very easy to ride even in the city with better in-gear rideability.
