More details of the upcoming Renault Triber MPV

New details on the Renault Triber have arrived ahead of the car’s launch. The Renault Triber has already been revealed in a global premiere and the car has been specifically designed for the Indian market. 

The Triber measures 3,990 mm in length, 1,739 mm in width, 1,637 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,636 mm and gets 182mm high ground clearance, projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, plastic cladded wheel arches, skid plates and roof rails that can carry around 50 kg payload. The Triber also gets a range of 84-625 litre boot space depending on the seat configuration and 35-litre storage space on the interiors. There will also be a 31L cooled storage box.

On the interior, the Triber is likely to feature an 8-inch touch screen infotainment system which features MediaNav evolution offering connected multimedia features and is integrated with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car also gets fast charging ports with MediaNAV and 12V charging sockets. It also gets a fully digital instrument cluster with an 8.9 cm LCD screen. The Triber comes with modular seats and can be configured to seat 7-people. The third-row seats can also be completely removed to make space for more luggage. The air conditioning on the Triber is offered with second and third-row vents. The Triber also comes with four preset seat modes – Life Mode, Tribe Mode, Surfing Mode and Camping Mode.

In the engine department, the Triber is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that develops 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of torque paired to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed EASY-R AMT gearbox. The car will also coach drivers with the Eco mode which will help drivers understand optimum shift point and when to change gears and get better mileage.

In terms of safety, the car gets driver, passenger and side 4 airbags, rear parking sensors, three-point seat belts in all rows, rear view camera, ABS with EBD, speed sensing door lock, panic brake alert, seat belt reminder and over speed alert system.
