To serve customers in the rural markets better, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pt. Ltd. (HMSI) has introduced a Mobile Service Van (MSV) which will service two-wheelers at the customer’s doorstep.
This mobile setup by Honda is 3S equipped – sales, service and spares facility. Honda is planning to achieve better market penetration with this initiative. These Mobile Service Vans will have a display area for two-wheelers, seating arrangement for customers, LED information display, test ride facility and will also address public around the van to create awareness. Apart from this, it will be equipped with two service bays and genuine spare parts for mobile service of their products.
Honda is planning to add a total of 11 such mobile service vans by the end of this year. Honda plans to add 1,000 new touch-points in the country this year, out of which 70% would account for rural markets. By the end of this year, Honda wants to have a total of 3,800 sales and service outlets.
