Mitsubishi has launched the all-new Outlander in India, and this SUV has been priced at INR 31.54 lakh, ex-showroom Mumbai. Mitsubishi cars are becoming a rare sight on the Indian streets, however, the brand is still not giving up and are launching new products. This is the first all-new model that Mitsubishi has brought to India in the last 6 years. The Outlander is brought to India as a CBU, and hence the pricing which is slightly on the higher side.
Powering the Mitsubishi Outlander for India is a 2.4L, 4-cylinder petrol motor producing 167 HP of power & 222 Nm of torque matched to a 6-step CVT automatic gearbox. The Outlander comes with AWD. Mitsubishi has no plans to introduce a diesel model anytime soon but might consider a plug-in hybrid variant which they call ‘Outlander PHEV’.
The new Outlander rivals the likes of Honda CR-V, Skoda Kodiaq, Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner. However, each of the rivals have a better established network to get the attention of the buyer.
