Mini Countryman Black Edition launched in India at INR 42.40 lakh

Based on the Cooper S John Cooper Works (JCW) inspired variant, the BMW Group has launched the Mini Countryman Black Edition in India. This crossover hot hatchback has been prices at INR 42.40 lakh ex-showroom, and is now available across all Mini showrooms in the country.

Powering the Mini Countryman Black Edition Cooper S JCW Inspired is a 2.0L, 4-cylinder with 4-valves / cylinder, turbocharged petrol motor producing 192 HP of power and 280 Nm of torque. This model can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 7.5 seconds and comes matched to an 8-speed sport automatic steptronic gearbox. Mini offers driving modes, performance control, cruise control with braking function and on-board computers on this variant. The brand claims a mileage of 14.4 kmpl on this variant.

Cosmetic changes on the outside of the Mini Countryman Black Edition Cooper S JCW Inspired include a black finished grille, ORVMs finished in carbon fibre typical of JCW variants, Countryman badge in piano black, chrome bezel around the headlamp and tail lamp replaced with piano black accents, black roof, stripe decals on the bonnet and 18″ JCW alloy wheels. Even the skid plates are in gloss black while the side skirt is seen finished in silver.

On the inside, this car comes with all-black interiors, head-up display, Mini wired setup, sport seats with electric adjustment, memory seats, panoramic glass sunroof, sound system from Harman Kardon, JCW-sped steering wheel, JCW aerodynamic kit and a tail gate which can be automatically operated.

This is a limited edition model and the brand is asking for INR 1 lakh premium over the base variant. Only 24 copies of this version will be sold in our market making it super exclusive. The Mini Countryman is a rival to the likes of BMW X1, Audi Q3, Mercedes-Benz GLA & Volvo XC40.
