MG ZS EV electric SUV launched in India for INR 19.88 lakh

MG Motor India has launched their first electric vehicle for our market, the ZS EV. MG (Morris Garages) has announced an introductory price tag of INR 19.88 lakh for the customers who had booked their cars before the midnight of 17th January 2020, while the actual price tag for the MG ZS EV starts at INR 20.88 lakh for the Excite variant and INR 23.58 lakh for the Exclusive variant. The MG ZS EV is a pure electric SUV, and is a rival to the likes of Hyundai Kona.

Morris Garages has also introduced the MG eShield for easy ownership. This will allow for private car owners to avail 5-year warranty for unlimited km on the car and 8 year / 150,000 km warranty on the battery; free of cost. Customers will also benefit from free 24×7 RSA for 5 years and 5 labour-free car services.

MG Motor India claims that the ZS EV electric SUV will come with a running cost of less than INR 1 / km; up to 100,000 kms. The maintenance packages for the electric SUV start from INR 7,700 for 3 years. The brand is also assuring a resale value of 50% after 3 years of ownership.

MG Motor India has so far received over 2800 bookings for the ZS EV in nearly a month. The total number of MG ZS EV cars booked in much higher than the entire EV car sales in the country for 2019; which shows the interest customers have in the new brand, and their new electric car. Deliveries for the MG ZS EV start from January 27th, 2020 in 5 cities which includes Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad.

The MG ZS EV is a 5-seater SUV which comes with features such as LED DRLs, chrome studded front grille, diamond cut alloy wheels, large panoramic sunroof, touchscreen infotainment, leather upholstery, body cladding for an SUV look, projector headlamps, etc.
