JSW MG Motor India is set to introduce advanced driver-assistance technology in its upcoming Windsor PRO, making it one of the most feature-rich EVs in its segment. The Level 2 ADAS suite will include 12 major safety features, enhancing driving convenience and security.

ADAS features explained

The Windsor PRO’s ADAS system will offer audio, visual, and haptic alerts, ensuring drivers remain aware of their surroundings. Key functionalities include:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control – Maintains a safe distance from vehicles ahead.
  • Lane Departure Warning – Alerts drivers if they unintentionally drift out of their lane.
  • Traffic Jam Assist – Helps navigate congested roads with minimal driver input.

Battery and performance upgrades

The Windsor PRO will be equipped with a larger 52.9 kWh battery, replacing the 38 kWh unit found in the standard Windsor EV. This upgrade extends the claimed range to 470 km, making it a more practical choice for long-distance travel.

Despite the bigger battery, the powertrain remains unchanged, with the front-wheel-drive PMS motor producing 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque.

Premium features and safety enhancements

MG is also introducing Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) capabilities, allowing owners to power external devices or charge other EVs. The Windsor PRO will also feature a powered tailgate, refreshed alloy wheels, and a new dual-tone interior theme.

Market position and pricing

The Windsor PRO will sit above the standard Windsor EV, which is priced between INR 14 lakh and INR 16 lakh (ex-showroom). The PRO variant is expected to start at INR 17 lakh, reflecting its larger battery and added features.
