MG Motor unveils Digital Studio showroom, no cars on display

Written by Parichay Malvankar

Morris Garages has opened up their first showroom dubbed as a Digital Studio. This is a showroom without any cars on display, but just a digital immersive experience. MG Motor India plans to get big digital initiatives to encourage car buying in an altogether different way. Many other brands are going the digital route to share all about their new range of cars and bikes. The first MG Digital Studio has opened up in Bengaluru.

MG Motor India thinks that this digital studio will help dealer partners reduce the financial burden. The current car dealership depends a lot on space, rental, infrastructure, car inventory for display, etc. All of this can be reduced with the Digital Studio initiatives. Dealers will hence have operational efficiency and customers can also have a good look at the cars they wish to purchase, even the specific variants.

Morris Garages will also integrate an interactive visualiser and augmented reality as engagement for customers.

The MG Hector is doing good with close to 40,000 bookings and has broken the Chinese car brand image. This is a 5-seater model which is on sale in India at the moment, and a 7-seater variant will come to India later in 2020. Morris Garages will have the ZS EV as their 2nd car for India, and this electric SUV will rival the likes of Hyundai Kona.
