MG Motor India sold 5,008 cars in October 2022

MG Motor has posted its October month sales figure. The carmaker achieves its highest-ever production at 5,008 units for the given period. The EV retail sales, too stood at an all-time monthly high of 784 units. The retail sales figure for the month was 4,367 units. This results in a growth of 53 per cent over the same month last year. This growth figure comes on the back of the company achieving its highest production output at 5,008 units. This also includes 1,000 units of its electric vehicle (MG ZS EV), which is also an all-time high for MG India.

MG mentioned that this has been possible due to some improvements in semiconductor supplies. Moreover, the carmaker also undertook some localization initiatives to help the cause. For the coming weeks should, MG expects the situation to get even better.

MG Motor India Demand On High

MG Motor continues its focus on meeting customer demand with full flow. The recent production uptick is now resulting in the commencement of the deliveries of Astor, both for CVT and AT variants, possible. The milestone for the all-new ZS EV speaks volumes of the customers’ trust in MG. Having recorded the highest-ever retail sales of 784 since it was launched in 2020, the SUV is one of the top sellers in the EV segment. The SUV gets support from the comprehensive charging ecosystem, which is expanding across the country. The MG Hector, too, continues its robust performance in sales. Furthermore, MG has also confirmed the launch of the Next-Gen Hector, scheduled around the end of this year.

MG Motor India The Story Till Date

MG Motor India has its manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat. This manufacturing unit has an annual production capacity of 1,50,000 vehicles and employs nearly 2,500 workforces. Driven by its vision of CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric) mobility, MG has augmented the across-the-board ‘experiences’ within the automobile segment today. The brand also boasts of introducing several ‘firsts’ in India. This includes India’s first Internet SUV – MG Hector, India’s first Pure Electric Internet SUV – MG ZS EV, and India’s first Autonomous (Level 1) Premium SUV – MG Gloster.
