MG Motor India launches MGverse

MG Motor India has launched the MGverse. With this introduction, the company became one of the few brands across the industries and the first automobile OEM in India to launch a Metaverse platform. MG Motor India aims to strengthen its connection with the GenZ and GenAlpha generations and also provide an immersive experience. 

The MGverse will act as a universe that will combine multiple virtual spaces into one. The platform aims to bring MG fans, partners, customers, and employees together. Together, through this platform, they will be able to shop, work, play, engage, collaborate, co-create and even socialise. MG says the platform will enable users to go beyond the restrictions of screens. Furthermore, it will also allow them to go beyond the boundaries of distance into a future where everyone can be present. Being together, they will be able to create new possibilities and also experience new things.

The MGverse platform will be accessible on a smartphone and also through web browsers using other devices. MG Motor also plans to introduce similar experiences for virtual reality (VR) headsets. Using VR headsets will allow an even more immersive and realistic experience at home or in a dealership. MG Motor India will execute the platform in phases. The company will implement the first phase during the festive season this year. Apart from the new platform, MG currently has multiple digital solutions. These include – MG Expert, MG ePay, NFTs and Car-as-a-platform. 

MGverse – The Five Different Experience Centres

MG will offer five experience centres to ensure there’s something for everyone. These will let customers explore their creativity in the MGverse.

  • Explore & Creator’s Centre  This experience centre will let users personalise, accessorise and build various MG vehicles in the MGverse. In addition to this, customers can also take a virtual test drive in cities and streets of their choice. Using this particular experience centre, customers can also book an MG vehicle. All from the comfort of their homes.
  • NFT Gallery – The NFT Gallery will allow users to witness the company’s finest collections on display. Users will also be able to collaborate and co-create, list and transact NFTs using the platform. Using the NFT platform, users also get an opportunity to create their own NFTs and earn.
  • MG Car Club – The members of the MG Car Club will be able to connect, engage and celebrate together through exclusive members-only events. These exclusive events will also include exclusive concerts. The members will also have an option to buy MG merchandise from the MGverse.
  • Gaming Arena – In the Gaming Arena, users can choose their favourite racetrack and race in sporty MG cars. This will let users get a chance to experience the brand’s rich racing history. Additionally, there will also be other games available. 
  • MG Knowledge Centre – The knowledge centre will allow employees and partners to upskill their skills. They will also be able to attend meetings, virtual training sessions, conferences, etc.
