MG Motor India has introduced the ‘MG Service on Wheels’ initiative in India. With this, the brand aims to provide customers with car repair and maintenance services from the comfort of their homes. The service outreach program further reinforces MG’s commitment to delivering faster and more efficient service for ease as well as convenience of its customers.
As of now, MG Motor India has introduced the pilot version of the program in Rajkot, Gujarat. In the future, MG Motor India plans to expand the program to cover other upcountry markets across India.
The MG Service on Wheels is a full suite of services to help customers in the periodic maintenance of their vehicles. In addition to this, it will also cover any repair and upkeep maintenance requirements that may arise. MG claims it will cover most service operations that are otherwise provided by the workshop. Fully-trained and certified technicians will operate the program, and MG’s seamless customer support will be back. Thus, it will bolster the service network and extend the brand’s reach across the existing market.
‘MG Service on Wheels’ will operate as a mobile workshop and will have all the necessary spare parts, tools and other consumables and digital equipment. Thus, it will be able to support immediate and unforeseen yet urgent vehicle maintenance requirements. Powering the program will be a simple and effortless appointment booking system. This will allow customers to connect with the company and schedule service at their convenience.
The mobile workshop will come with a hydraulic scissor lift attached to a hydraulic power pack, an air compressor with a washing pump and an additional provision for a dry wash. There will also be a digital oil dispenser, a waste oil collection tank and a pneumatic line with a filter-regulator-lubricator (FRL) unit. The mobile workshop will also include a LED lamp-illuminated fully-stacked spare parts rack. Other equipments include a wheel balancer with slider, an electronic control box as well as a first-aid box.
Previously, the company introduced ‘MY MG Shield’ and ‘MG Care@Home’. The MY MG Shield is a unique and industry-leading car protection and care program. On the other hand, the company rolled out the MG Care@Home in 2021. This provides contactless repair and sanitization services to customers at their doorstep.
