MG Motor India has officially commenced pre-bookings for its premium electric MPV, the M9. This luxurious vehicle, showcased earlier at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, is set to redefine the MPV segment in India. Interested buyers can reserve their M9 by paying a token amount of INR 50,000 at MG Select dealerships or through the company’s official website.

The M9 is powered by a 90 kWh battery pack coupled with a single electric motor. This setup delivers 244 bhp and 350 Nm of torque, ensuring a smooth and powerful driving experience. The MPV boasts a claimed range of 430 km on a single charge, making it a practical choice for long journeys. Additionally, the battery supports 125 kW DC fast charging, allowing it to charge from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes.
Design and Interiors
In terms of design, the M9 features a boxy silhouette with power-sliding rear doors for easy ingress and egress. It is available in three elegant colors: Cardiff Black, Luminous White, and Mystic Grey. The MPV measures 5,270 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,840 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,200 mm, offering ample space for passengers.
The interior of the M9 is a haven of luxury and comfort. It comes with three rows of seating for up to seven passengers, including reclining ottoman seats with ventilation and massage functions. Other highlights include dual sunroofs, ambient lighting, a 12-speaker premium audio system, and rear-seat entertainment screens. The MPV also features advanced tech like multi-zone climate control, wireless charging, and Level-2 ADAS for enhanced safety.
MG M9 pricing and availability
The M9 is expected to be priced between INR 65–85 lakh (ex-showroom) and will compete with the likes of the Toyota Vellfire and Kia Carnival. Deliveries are slated to begin in Q2 of 2025, making it one of the most awaited launches of the year.
