MG recently launched the new Astor SUV in the Indian market, starting at the price of INR 9.78 lakh ex-showroom. The brand today launched the new Car-as-a-Platform (CAAP) subscription model for the recently launched Astor SUV. The industry-first CAAP comes with endless possibilities, and the software enables a host of service partners in Astor. This includes on-demand in-car services and subscriptions in the areas of utility, entertainment, security, consumer payment, and more. MG also revealed that the services and subscriptions would not be limited to those mentioned above. But, the brand plans to expand more features on the CAAP in the near future.

Embedded SIM Technology for High-Speed In-Car Connectivity

MG has announced that the brand has partnered with Jio for embedded sim and technology. Under the partnership, Jio will use its widespread network to provide IoT solutions. This eSIM technology will also enable MG users to access real-time connectivity, infotainment, and telematics. The brand reveals that users will have access to the music streaming service JioSaavn. JioSaavn will give access to 60 million Bollywood, English, Hindi, and Indian regional tracks on the go. Users will also be able to access podcasts under the JioSaavn application. Jio will offer the customers a free 4GB monthly internet pack in the SUV. Users can further customize this internet pack up to 9 GB and 14GB at an additional cost.

MG Partners with Park+

The brand has also partnered with Park+ to enhance the driving experience of the MG Astor. Under the partnership, users will be able to leverage Park+’s tech-backed value proposition to pre-book and pre-pay for parking slots. Users will be able to book their parking slot even before they reach their destination. This is particularly useful in Metropolitan cities like Mumbai, where parking space is premium and difficult to find. Currently, the in-car feature is available in three cities Delhi – NCR, Mumbai, and Bangalore. The brand plans to expand its network to nine cities in the near future. Customers will get unlimited free parking for three months as an introductory offer followed by an additional six months for INR 1,199.

KoineArth First-Of-Its-Kind Vehicle Digital Passport

MG has also partnered with KoineArth, a first-of-its-kind vehicle digital passport. This value-added experience ensures data privacy and facilitates customers sharing their digital passports. With the secure Blockchain, customers can safely share their digital passports like insurance partners or used car portals with third parties. MG boasts that this could benefit customers in many ways. Based on the driving behaviour and service adherence, customers could get a higher resale value and a better insurance premium on the vehicle. The KoineArth blockchain digital passport can be availed for INR 1000 for the first year as an introductory offer.
