MG Motor India has announced that the country’s first Internet Inside SUV, the MG Hector is celebrating its 5-year anniversary in India. To commemorate the occasion the brand has launched an ultimate expedition in collaboration with Mountain Goat. Under the expedition, the MG Hector and Mountain Goat have recorded a feat in the India Book of Records to become the “Fastest Drive from the Lowest to the Highest Altitude on Road.”
Fastest Drive from Lowest to Highest Altitude
MG reveals that the expedition began from the Kuttanad which is 7 feet below the sea level in Kerala to Umling La which is 19,024 feet above sea level and is located in Ladakh. The expedition commenced on the 27th July 1:30 PM and concluded on 30th July 8:28 AM, covering 3,846 KM in just 66 hours and 58 minutes. The record was confirmed of 2nd August 2024 making the MG Hector the fastest SUV to drive from the lowest to the highest motorable road in India.

The popular MG Hector comes with safety features such as High Strength Steel Body, Hot Stamped B Pillar, Roll-formed Tubular Steel Door and Thick Door Panels enhancing the safety of the occupants. MG Hector comes with a staring price of INR 13.99 lakh ex-showroom.
