MG flagged off all-women EV rally on Women’s Day 2021

MG Motor on the occasion of International Women’s Day organised an all-women EV rally in partnership with HPCL and charging solutions provider Magenta ChargeGrid. A total of 21 ZS EV owners participated in this event as a part of MG Motor’s Electrifying Women’s Drive’ initiative. The British automotive company is taking big steps in women empowerment as evident from recent events like manufacturing the 50,000th unit of MG Hector with an all-women crew at its manufacturing facility located in Halol, Gujarat, having 33% of the share of women in the workforce including department heads and blue-collar professionals and more.

EV Rally on International Women’s Day

MG Motor organised this event to make the female owners get acquainted with the functionalities and potential of their ZS EV in more detail. This rally started from MG’s JVLR dealership, located in the western part of Mumbai and followed to the Dukes Retreat in Khandala. Midway in the route, the convoy of ZS EV made a pit-stop at HPCL’s newly inaugurated charging station over Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

MG Motors Charging Infrastructure

To sustain the growth of electric vehicles in the country, a robust and wide charging infrastructure plays the most vital role. To encourage more people to join the EV movement MG Motor is providing a 5-way charging ecosystem to its customers for free. This package consists of a free-of-cost AC fast-charger installed at the customer’s home or office , an extended charging network, a plug-and-charge cable onboard, and a charge-on-the-go with Roadside Assistance. MG recently updated its EV offering, the 2021 ZS EV which now has a claimed mileage of 419 KM.
