MG Cyberster electric sports car will deliver 580 km of range

Written by News Team

MG Motor India has unveiled the specifications for its highly anticipated Cyberster electric sports car, which promises an impressive range of 580 km on a single charge. The Cyberster is set to be launched in January 2025 and will be available through MG’s premium dealership network, MG Select.

Power and Performance

The Cyberster is powered by a 77 kWh battery pack that drives two oil-cooled electric motors, one on each axle, providing an all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup. This setup generates 510 PS and 725 Nm of torque, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.

MG Cyberster: Design and Features

The Cyberster’s design pays homage to MG’s racing heritage, particularly the MG B Roadster from the 1960s. It features a two-seater convertible configuration with scissor doors and a folding soft top. The car also boasts a 50:50 weight distribution for enhanced stability and handling.

Inside, the Cyberster offers a luxurious and tech-savvy experience with three screens – a digital driver’s display, a touchscreen infotainment panel, and a display for vehicle stats. The car also includes dual radar sensors and an anti-pinch mechanism for added safety.

Market Impact

The vehicle is expected to be priced between INR 60 lakh and INR 70 lakh (ex-showroom). With its impressive range and powerful performance, the Cyberster is poised to make a significant impact on India’s electric vehicle market. The launch will coincide with the Bharat Mobility Expo, where MG will showcase its latest products.

Final Thoughts

The MG Cyberster is a game-changer in the electric sports car segment. Currently, there is no other car that offers the features and form factor the Cyberster has. This will also be the first convertible with scissor doors to be sold in India. Whether you’re a speed enthusiast or an eco-conscious driver, the Cyberster promises an exhilarating and sustainable driving experience.
