MG has announced that the brand has sold out the recently launched Astor SUV in the Indian market. MG opened the order books today and astonishingly, India’s First AI-enabled SUV, got sold out in minutes. The brand has also announced that the deliveries will commence from 1st November 2021. MG also announced that the brand will commence deliveries on the Astor from 1st November 2021. In addition to this, MG has also revealed that customers can now book the Astor for 2022. Interested parties can book the car through the company’s official website or by visiting an authorized MG showroom.
MG Astor – Price and Variants
The MG Astor comes with four variants priced between INR 9.78 lakh ex-showroom and INR 16.78 lakh ex-showroom. The brand offers Astor a Naturally-Aspirated petrol engine as well as a Turbo-Petrol motor. MG also offers both manual and automatic gearboxes with the Astor SUV. Also, the car comes with Spiced Orange, Aurora Silver, Glaze Red, Candy White and Starry White exteriors colour options. On the inside, the brand is offering the Sangria Red, Iconic Ivory and Tuxedo Black colour choices.
MG Astor – Engine Specifications
Powering the MG Astor SUV is a 1.5-litre VTI-Tech petrol engine that makes 110 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque. The Astor also comes with a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol motor that produces 140 PS of power and 220 Nm of torque. The naturally aspirated engine comes with a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. The turbocharged engine comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
MG Astor – Features
The MG Astor is India’s first car to come with Car-As-A-Platform. This enables features such as Jio Saavn, Park+, MapMyIndia 4D maps and Koinearth Vehicle Digital Passport. The brand has recently revealed the subscription plans on the CAAP for the Indian market. The SUV also gets an AI-enabled assistant as well as 80+ connected features. MG also provides 14 Autonomous Level 2 features thanks to radar and a multipurpose camera. The brand also offers 6-airbags ESP, TCS, HDC and 27 other safety features as standard.
