Mercedes-Benz will launch the GLA 45 AMG on Octoober 27, 2014. As the same suggests, it is a performance oriented variant based on the recently launched GLA-Class SUV.
Changes include:
- Redesigned front and rear bumpers
- New front grille
- Rear diffuser
- Rear spoiler
- 4 exhaust pipes
- 19″ alloy wheels
- Body decals
- Blackened side skirt
- Red brake callipers
- Sporty front seats
- New steering wheel with a flat bottom
- Gear lever is placed conventionally compared to the steering mounted unit on the regular GLA
- Red seat belts
- Contrast stitching on the dashboard
The GLA 45 AMG will be powered by a 2.0L, turbocharged petrol otor producing 355 BHP of power and 45.8 kgm of torque. Also, it will be available in all-wheel drive configuration. Engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox.
Pricing is expected to be in the range of Rs. 70+ lakh (ex-showroom).
