Mercedes-Benz India launches S-Class ‘Maestro Edition’ at INR 1.51 crore

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the new S Class with a new trim dubbed the ‘Maestro Edition’ in the Indian market priced at INR 1.51 Crore ex-showroom, India. The Mercedes-Benz S Class Maestro Edition comes with a new exterior paint called Anthracite Blue and enhanced interior trim and equipment including the latest connected car technology from the German brand called ‘Mercedes Me Connect’.

With the integration of the Mercedes Me Connect (MMC) the brand boasts the capability of several exclusive features such as Alexa Home and Google Home into the Maestro Edition. Furthermore, the brand also claims to be the first luxury car manufacturer in the Indian market to introduce connected services capable of OTA updates in 2019. Using the Mercedes ME adapter, Mercedes-Benz is able to connect older cars from 2007 onwards. The company has revealed that more than 5000 customers use the Mercedes Me Connect across the country. 

On the interiors, the Mercedes-Benz Maestro Edition features a new High gloss Brown Eucalyptus Wood Trim, Magic Sky Control with a panoramic sunroof, Memory Package on the front seats, Alexa Integration, Parking Solution POIs in Navigation to name a few. The Over-The-Air updates have been rolled out for all Mercedes Me Connect users free of cost. 

The Alexa integration can be used to seamlessly give commands using the Alexa Echo such as “Alexa, Ask Mercedes to turn on the climate control”. The features can be used from any Alexa device from Home or Office. Similarly, Google Home users can also give commands to the device and get real-time updates about the vehicle. The new Parking Solution can be used to find nearby parking spots including malls, buildings, paid parking lots, off-street structured parking locations etc. The system can also bifurcate between paid parking, covered parking or open parking etc. 

The Maestro Edition with the connected features also offers features such as the remote lock or unlock, open windows, sunroof, track the location of the vehicle, set speed alerts, etc. It also integrates an e-Call/SOS button emergency services 24×7 across India through the brand’s dedicated emergency call services. The connected solution also provides in-car Call Button that can connect the customer to a customer assistance centre for queries, breakdown and on-road assistance.

The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Maestro Edition is available at all Mercedes-Benz dealerships in India.
