Mercedes-Benz India has reignited its high-performance portfolio with the launch of two stunning sportscars from the AMG GT family—the GT 63 4MATIC+ and the track-honed GT 63 PRO. These models mark the return of the AMG GT nameplate to India after a five-year hiatus, and they arrive with more power, more tech, and a whole lot more drama.

Design and dimensions: Bigger, Bolder, Better

The second-generation GT 63 is 182 mm longer, 45 mm wider, and 66 mm taller than its predecessor. It now features a 2+2 seating layout, making it more practical without compromising on its coupe silhouette.

Both variants sport a low-slung stance, sculpted LED lighting, and active aerodynamic elements. The GT 63 PRO adds a fixed rear wing, carbon fibre air deflectors, and track-spec tyres for enhanced downforce and grip.

Powertrain and performance

At the heart of both cars is a handcrafted 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, paired with a 9-speed AMG Speedshift MCT gearbox and 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive.

The PRO also shaves 0.5 seconds off the 0–200 km/h sprint, thanks to its uprated engine and lighter components3.

Interior and tech: Race-Ready yet refined

Inside, both models feature:

  • 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster
  • 11.9-inch vertical touchscreen with MBUX
  • AMG-spec steering wheel
  • Sculpted sport seats with integrated headrests
  • Track Pace telemetry system for lap timing and performance data

The GT 63 PRO ditches the rear seats to save weight and enhance its track credentials.

Exclusivity and customisation

Both models are CBU imports and come with a range of bespoke paint options, including Green Hell Magno and Patagonia Red Bright. Mercedes-AMG will also offer track-day experiences for owners at India’s top racing circuits.
