Mercedes-Benz has revealed the estate (station wagon) variant of the CLA-Class, dubbed as the CLA Shooting Brake. This is the last body style which will be built on the MFA, front wheel drive platform.
The CLA Shooting Brake measures 4,630mm in length, 1,777mm in width and 1,435mm in height.
While the CLA and CLS share some styling cues, only these two models are currently available in the Shooting Brake avatar in the Mercedes-Benz stable. The 5-door CLA Shooting Brake offers more practicality by adding extra carrying space at the back. Boot capacity is rated at 495 litres and can increase up to 1,354 litres with the rear seats folded.
Mercedes-Benz will conduct surveys if the CLA Shooting Brake is relevant for the Indian market and only then decide if it should be launched.
If it does make it to India, expect the same engines to be plonked which will be available on the regular CLA variants. Internationally, a CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake model will also be available.
