Mercedes-Benz AMG high-performance cars will be Made in India, ‘AMG in India’

Mercedes-Benz has announced that the company’s performance sub-brand AMG will be localize the Mercedes-AMG cars in the Indian market. Mercedes-AMG in India comprises of a large portfolio that includes performance limousines, performance SUVs, SUV Coupés, and sports cars. The brand has also announced that the first product to roll out from the assembly line in India will be the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe. 

The ‘made in India’ AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe will become an exciting addition to the AMG line of car in the Indian market. The Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe is one of the highest selling cars in the AMG portfolio in India and hence the brand has decided to introduce the Made In India version of the popular SUV. The brand also assures that the production facility is a global benchmark in quality and technological advancement. The AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe not only features new design and performance features but also gets the latest version of the MBUX infotainment system, with AMG-specific functions and displays. The innovative concept also adds to the day to day practicality of the AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe. 

Recently, Mercedes-AMG introduced the much awaited ‘AMG 53 series’ in the form of ‘Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4Matic+ Coupe’ in the Indian market. The GLE is now available in 300d, 400d, 450 and AMG GLE 53 Coupe variants. The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4Matic+ Coupe is launched at INR 1.02 Crore ex-showroom, India. The AMG GLE 53 4Matic+ Coupe replaces the AMG 43 Coupe in the Indian market and further strengthens the brand’s GLE SUV portfolio.

The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4Matic+ Coupe is the first AMG model in India that features NTG 6.0 Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system with ‘Over the Air’ updates capability, intuitive in-car virtual assistant and new generation telematics. The Made in India AMG line will also add an additional in the brand’s production milestone, further deepening their commitment towards the Indian market.
