Mercedes-Benz for the first time in India, introduced the much awaited ‘AMG 53 series’ in the form of ‘Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4Matic+ Coupe’ in the Indian market, launched at the ex-showroom price of INR 1.02 crore, India. The AMG GLE 53 4Matic+ Coupe replaces the AMG 43 Coupe in the Indian market and further strengthens the brand’s GLE SUV portfolio.
The Coupe SUV offer more more power and performance dynamics than the AMG 43 Coupe and comes with a combination of powerful on-road performance, good off-road abilities, new and innovative technologies along with intelligent driving assistance
Systems, all while offering the luxurious choices and ample space for passengers and luggage.
The new GLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupe is powered by a BS6-emissions-compliant Mercedes-AMG 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder petrol engine with twin turbocharging and EQ Boost technology that churns out 435 Hp of power and 520 Nm of torque. The 48V EQ Boost adds upto 22 Hp of power and 250 Nm of torque on demand allowing the Coupe SUV to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 5.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 kmph.
The powerful motor comes matched to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission with AMG Dynamic Select and 4MATIC+ with variable torque distribution system. The GLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupe also comes with AMG Brake system offering high-performance stopping power and selectable AMG Performance Exhaust system.
On the outside, the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4Matic+ Coupe features a chrome-accented vertically slated grille, double-tick mark LED daytime running lights integrated into the headlamp units, gloss black skid plates, a wide airdam, power bulges on the bonnet giving it a muscular appeal, dual-tone alloy wheels, textured side stepper, a coupe styled roofline and wraparound tail lamps.
On the inside, the GLE 53 4Matic+ Coupe is the first AMG model in India that features NTG 6.0 Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system with ‘Over the Air’ updates capability, intuitive in-car virtual assistant, new generation telematics, etc. The Coupe SUV also features Mercedes me connect that comes with remote engine start, remote lock/unlock, car locator, speed monitor, emergency e-Call which are accessible from the customer’s smart phone/tablet etc.
The all-new GLE is now available in 300d, 400d, 450 and AMG GLE 53 Coupe variants. The GLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupe is also offered with the Mercedes-Benz STAREASE service packages that start from INR 92,000 for 2 years/unlimited kilometers.
