Mercedes-AMG G 63 launched in India for INR 2.19 crore

The iconic G-Wagon has made a comeback in its new avatar. Mercedes-Benz India today launched the G 63 AMG SUV priced at INR 2.19 crore. The G-Class has been one of the popular AMG cars in India, and is an iconic off-road vehicle worldwide.

This time, the G 63 AMG comes with a 4.0L motor producing 585 HP of power. More details on the specs below.

The G 63 comes with a 4MATIC AWD system with rear-biased torque distribution. It gets a 40:60 split between the front and rear axles respectively. The older model had a 50:50 ratio. he differential lock display on the centre driver MID shows which lock is currently active. The car also gets 5 on-road and 3 off-road driving modes which can be switched with the Dynamic Select.

The G 63 AMG is built on a ladder on frame construction with high strength steel used in the chassis and body made of composites. Parts like the wings, bonnet and doors are made of aluminium.
