Mercedes-Benz has launched its first-ever India-inspired G-Class. The new limited edition G 63 AMG Collector’s Edition features bespoke luxury features with high customisation options.

The G-Class, aka G-Wagon, has been an iconic SUV that is praised, respected, and loved all around the world. The boxy and butch G-Class has a powerful version, i.e. the G 63, which further adds performance to its brutal aura.
Now, the German carmaker has launched its first-ever India-inspired G 63, called Collector’s Edition. The special edition SUV is inspired by the Indian monsoon weather, thus featuring special exterior colours.
Limited to only 30 units, the new G 63 Collector’s Edition can only be had by the existing top-end Mercedes owners. It is available in a matte Mid Green Mango and Red Mango exterior colours, which are coupled with the new 22-inch AMG matte Gold colour alloys.
Each individual unit gets the ‘One in Thirty’ plaque mounted on the spare wheel cover at the back. Moreover, the interiors are finished in a lovely combination of Manufaktur Catalana Beige and Black Nappa leather upholstery, meshed with a blend of open-pore natural wood finishing. Customers can also customise the passenger grab handle engraving as per their demand.
Powering the G 63 AMG Collector’s Edition is the 4.0L, V8, twin-turbo engine, developing 585 bhp of peak power and 850 Nm torque. It can do 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 250 km/h.
Mercedes has priced the G 63 AMG Collector’s Edition at Rs 66 lakh higher than the standard G 63. It costs Rs 4.30 crore ex-showroom, pan-India.
