Mercedes-Benz has launched the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupé in India priced starting at INR 1.33 crore, ex-showroom, India. The brand has launched the performance-oriented luxury sports car in a digital launch event, from Mercedes-Benz India’s innovative ‘Consultation Studio’, following the new normal of social distancing.
The Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupé is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 bi-turbo engine from Mercedes-AMG, manufactured by a highly qualified team following the ‘one man, one engine’ principle using special alloys for the cylinder heads and a special NANOSLIDE technology on the cylinder barrels. The engine produces 476 Hp of power and 650 Nm of torque matched to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9-speed Sports Transmission with double-clutching and RaceStart function.
The high-performance transmission allows ultra-short shift times along with minimal tractive power loss between gear shifts. The transmission also supports gear shifting via kick-down function allowing the car to change gears directly from 9th into 6th or from 5th into 2nd gear. The power is transmitted to the wheels via an electronically controlled AMG Rear Axle Locking Differential. The Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupé can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 4 seconds and achieve a top speed which is electronically limited to 250 kmph.
In terms of its design and styling, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupé features AMG bodywork, AMG specific vertically slated grille, LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, layered front apron with large air vents, muscular bonnet with raised ridges, flared shoulder lines, 18-inch lightweight AMG performance 5-split-spoke alloy wheels, fastback sloping roof that meets the rear deck with a carbon fibre lip spoiler, wraparound LED taillamps, aero ducts on the rear bumper and quad tailpipes.
On its interior, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupé features 12.3-inch all-digital instrument cluster with three AMG specific displays – Classic, Progressive and Sporty. A centrally located infotainment system with a Burmeister sound system, ventilated AMG sports seats with a memory function, panoramic sunroof, etc.
