Maserati M20 Cielo details
The new MC20 Cielo is based on the MC20 Coupe, offering a drop-top convertible roof. It has been priced at Rs 5.31 crore (ex-showroom, India), and that too without any additional optional accessories.
As it is based on the MC20 Coupe, it shares almost everything with it, including the chassis, the 3.0L V6 twin-turbo engine that makes 630 bhp and 730 Nm, and even the interiors.
The talking point is the convertible roof, which can be operated up to 50 km/h. It operates via the touch of a button and takes 12 seconds to retract. However, it has added 85 kg to the MC20 Cielo in comparison to the MC20 Coupe.
Performance-wise, it can do 0-100 km/h in 3 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h (limited). It is only a shy 0.1 second slower than the MC20 Coupe from 0-100 km/h.
Maserati GranCabrio details
Priced at Rs 3.40 crore (ex-showroom, India), the new GranCabrio is essentially the second-gen GranTurismo. It offers the practicality of a 2+2 seating layout, along with the powerful V6 engine performance.
Aimed for long-distance GT (gran touring), the GranCabrio is based on the GranTurismo and uses the same 3.0L V6 twin-turbo engine, which makes 550 bhp and 650 Nm of peak power and torque.
It can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, whilst the top speed is 316 km/h (claimed).
Speaking of the foldable roof, it is made from exquisite material, and it folds down in 14 seconds. Operation through a touch button, the roof retract function is operational up to 50 km/h.
