Maruti Suzuki’s most popular compact-SUV, actually the best-selling compact-SUV in India will be receiving a mid-life update. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza was first launched in February 2016. The Vitara Brezza is quite popular because of its bold, stylish masculine exteriors and contemporary interiors. The Vitara Brezza is currently available only in a diesel engine option. But after the update, the Vitara Brezza is expected to be launched in a petrol variant as well.

On the exterior, the new Vitara Brezza after a facelift is expected to get a new grille, new bumpers, new projector headlamps with LED daytime running lamps and reworked tail lamps. The interiors are also expected to receive a fresh treatment, a new SmartPlay Studio infotainment system similar to the one on the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the new Wagon R is expected.

On the engine department, the new Vitara Brezza is expected to get the 1.5-litre, K15B petrol engine from the new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz which produces 103.2 HP of power @ 6000 RPM 138 Nm of torque @ 4400 RPM. It is mated to a 5-speed manual and automatic options. This engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual. The new engine is expected to be BSVI emission compliant and include the new safety standards.

The current engine on the Vitara Brezza is a 1.3-litre DDiS diesel which makes 88.5 HP of power @ 4000 RPM and 200 Nm of torque @1750 RPM.
