Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced that the much-popular compact SUV the Vitara Brezza has reached an important milestone and crossed the 5.5 lakh sales mark in 4.5 years span. Earlier this year, Maruti Suzuki showcased the 2020 facelift Vitara Brezza at the 15th edition of the Auto Expo. The brand also announced that since its launch earlier this year the new Vitara Brezza has already sold over 32,000 units within a short span of 6 months.
The new 2020 updated model came with 3 dual paint colour options – Red/Black, Blue/Black and Grey/Orange along with the traditional single tone paints. The 2020 model also came with new features on the exteriors such as a new grille design, dual barrel LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights, 16-inch dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels, plastic claddings to the sides, split LED tail lamps on the rear etc. In terms of dimensions, the Vitara Brezza measures 3995 mm in length, 1790 mm in width, 1640 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2500 mm.
On the inside, the Vitara Brezza features a 17.78-cm SmartPlay Studio audio infotainment system with vehicle alerts, live traffic, navigation, integrated with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming and antiglare inside rearview mirror (IRVM), etc. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza comes with safety features like dual front airbags, driver and co-driver seat belt reminder, ABS with EBD, high-speed warning alert, reverse parking sensors, rear parking assist as standard across all variants.
The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is powered by a BS6 emission-compliant K-series 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 105 PS of power and 138 Nm of torque coupled to a 5 speed Manual and a torque converter type Automatic Transmission. The Automatic transmission version also comes with a Smart Hybrid system with a dual Lithium-ion battery that provides torque assist functions, brake energy regeneration and hill hold assist feature. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza delivers a fuel efficiency of 17.03kmpl for the manual variant and 18.76 kmpl for the automatic. The Vitara Brezza is not offered with a diesel powertrain.
