Maruti Suzuki Swift sales cross 3 million milestone

Written by News Team

Maruti Suzuki India Limited is celebrating a remarkable achievement as its premium hatchback, the Maruti Suzuki Swift, crosses the 3 million sales mark in India. The Swift, a four-generation icon, has carved out its own legacy by consistently delivering unmatched sales figures in its segment.

A Legacy of Fun, Freedom, and Exhilaration

The Maruti Suzuki Swift has been more than just a car for the millions who have owned it. It has become a symbol of fun, freedom, and exhilaration on Indian roads. Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing & Sales at Maruti Suzuki India, expressed his gratitude, saying, “With each new generation, the Swift has continued to raise the bar, offering cutting-edge technology, contemporary style, and that unmistakable ‘Swift DNA’ which continues to captivate customers.”

Ahead of Its Time

Inspired by the iconic Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle, the Swift made its debut in 2005 with segment-first features such as climate control, airbags, and an anti-lock braking system (ABS). Its unparalleled driving experience quickly won over enthusiasts, creating a passionate community of like-minded “Swifters” who share a love for spirited driving. Notably, India remains the largest market for the Swift, contributing significantly to its global sales figure of over 6.5 million units.

Steady Growth and Milestones

The Swift’s journey has been marked by consistent growth. Within just 8 years of its introduction, it surpassed the 1 million sales mark in 2013. In 2018, the Swift achieved the 2 million sales milestone, and now, in 2024, it has driven past the remarkable 3 million sales mark. This achievement reflects the unwavering trust and loyalty of Swift owners across the country.

The Epic New Swift

In its fourth generation, the Epic New Swift continues to build on its legacy. Sporting a sleek and sporty design, it features the efficient Z-Series engine that balances performance and fuel economy. Safety remains a top priority, with standard features including 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program+ (ESP®), and Hill Hold Assist.
