To fight against the newer and fresher competition, we knew that there was a Maruti Swift facelift in the pipeline and multiple spyshots had already emerged on the internet. Now, the upcoming hatchback has been spotted completely undisguised at what looks like the company facility. Someone is surely not going to be happy about this leak…
Changes on the Swift facelift:
- New honeycomb mesh front grille
- Silver accents around the fog lamps
- LED DRLs may be optional, or available on the top spec variant
- New alloy wheel design
- True keyless entry and go
- Engine start / stop button
- New stereo head unit
- Revised seat upholstery
- One touch up / down for driver window
- Parking sensors
- Electrically foldable ORVMs
Apart from these changes, it has been confirmed that Maruti will offer an automatic transmission on the facelift Swift.
Engine options are expected to remain the same:
- 1.2L, 4-cylinder petrol motor pumping 86 BHP and 114 Nm
- 1.3L, Fiat-sourced, 4-cylinder diesel pumping 74 BHP and 190 Nm
The launch is just around the corner, most probably during diwali. Expect pricing to go up by Rs. 10,000 – 15,000 on the top end variant.
