Maruti Suzuki starts doorstep car servicing

Written by Parichay Malvankar

There is no doubt about this, that Maruti Suzuki has the most widespread sales and service network here in India. Also, even the parts supply chain that the brand has is superior to all. Now, Maruti Suzuki has announced the introduction of doorstep car servicing for customers. Under the initiative ‘Service on Wheels’, the brand will make use of a mobile van setup to reach out to customers and offer the convenience of having the car serviced without having to drive it to a nearest service outlet.

Maruti Suzuki calls this mobile van a smart workshop and it will be available at your doorstep with all the necessary kit and tools to perform servicing, repair jobs and other inspection for all Maruti Suzuki cars sold in India. With this smart workshop Maruti Suzuki aims to perform periodic maintenance and running repairs on all models. The service van will have storage racks for ease of access of spare parts and will also come with a provision to perform under body inspection and repairs of customer cars. These mobile workshops will be dispatched with certified Maruti Suzuki technicians.

Maruti Suzuki has more than 3,600 service workshops across 1,800 towns and cities in India. While this initiative will reach out to customers who don’t have a service station nearby, it will be more useful to urban customers who are pressed for time.

Maruti Suzuki customers can avail paid as well as initial free services as well via this smart workship. Tasks which can be performed includes oil changing, oil filter changing, air filter cleaning, under body inspection and other such quick fixes for petrol, diesel and CNG models.

These mobile vans are based on the Maruti Suzuki Super Carry LCV. The setup catering to Nexa customers will have this mobile van painted in black, and the standard Arena customers will have a white painted van approaching them. Would you use a mobile service setup to have your car up and running?
