Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) showcased an increase in domestic, export, and overall sales in December and Q4 for the year 2024 and made a total sale of 1,78,248 cars. With significant contributions from its passenger cars, utility vehicles, and light commercial vehicles, the firm has strengthened its market dominance.
December 2024 Sales performance:
MSIL sold 1,30,117 units of domestic passenger vehicles (PVs) indicating a strong 24.18% increase over the 1,04,778 sold in December 2023. From 26,884 units in December 2023 to 37,419 units exported, the company’s growth marked of 39.19 percent. Sales of light commercial vehicles (LCVs), led by the Super Carry, increased by 40.37% to 2,406 units from 1,714 units the previous year. In December 2024, Maruti Suzuki sold 1,78,248 units, a significant 29.59% increase over the 1,37,551 units sold in December 2023.
Q4 Sales Performance 2024:
Maruti Suzuki showcased an excellent performance for Q4 2024 in every category. Maruti sold 4,31,020 units, up 5.91 percent from Q4 2023 sales of 4,06,983 units. With 99,220 units, exports increased by 38.22% compared to 71,785 units in the same quarter last year.
With 27,102 units sold, sales to Toyota increased by 89.23% over Q4 2023’s 14,322 units. LCV sales increased from 8,117 units in Q4 2023 to 8,871 units, a 9.29% increase. Maruti sold 5,66,213 units overall in Q4 2024, a remarkable 12.97% increase over Q4 2023 sales of 5,01,207 units.
Segment-Wise Sales Performance for December 2024:
This segment’s sales, which include models like as the Alto, S-Presso, Baleno, Swift, and Dzire, increased significantly from 48,298 units in December 2023 to 62,324 units in 2024.
Sales of UV vehicles, such as Jimny, Grand Vitara, Ertiga, and Brezza, totalled 55,651 units, up from 45,957 units the previous year. Sales of the Eeco van increased from 10,034 units in December 2023 to 11,678 units, continuing its impressive record.
Maruti Suzuki’s success has been largely attributed to its exports; in December 2024. The business shipped 37,419 units, and in Q4 2024, it shipped 99,220 units, marking growths of 39.19% and 38.22%, respectively. Maruti’s status as a global player is cemented by the growing demand for its products in other markets.
