Maruti Suzuki sold 1,76,306 cars in September 2022

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has released its sales report for September 2022. The carmaker posted a total sales of 176,306 units in September 2022. For the given month, the domestic sales contributed to 150,885 units, and sales to other OEMs stood at 4,018 units. The export figure stood at 21,403 units. Maruti Suzuki also mentioned that the shortage of electronic components had a minor impact on the production of vehicles. This was mainly in domestic models. However, Maruti Suzuki is taking all possible measures to minimize the impact.

Detailed Sales Breakup – Maruti Suzuki India

For the Mini segment comprising S-Presso and Alto, Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 29,574 units. Meanwhile, in the Compact segment, which results in maximum sales, Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 72,176 units. This segment includes the likes of Baleno, Dzire, Celerio, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, and WagonR. Sales for Maruti Suzuki’s mid-size segment offering, the Ciaz, stood at 1,379 units. In the Utility vehicles segment, which includes Ertiga, Brezza, S-Cross, and XL6, the company sold a total of 32,574 units. Eeco accounts for the Van segment, which sold a total of 12,697 units. All in all, Maruti Suzuki posted a total sales of 148,380 units for the passenger vehicle segment in the domestic market.

Super Carry retails under the Light Commercial Vehicle segment, selling a total of 2,505 units. Thus, accounting for both passenger and light commercial vehicles, the total Domestic Sales stood at 150,885 units.

Furthermore, with the launch of the all-new Brezza and the Grand Vitara titles, there has been a significant sales boost in the SUV segment to garner more sales in the coming months. The new updated Brezza, which is already a household name in the SUV segment, and being a Maruti, will also find a fair share of takers. The newly launched Grand Vitara has also received a positive reception from the customers. Thus, with the demand for SUVs on the rise, we could now see more new SUVs from Maruti Suzuki in the future.
