Maruti Suzuki India Limited has released its sales report for October 2022. The carmaker posted a total sales of 167,520 units in October 2022. For the given month, domestic sales stood at 143,250 units. Meanwhile, the sales to other OEMs stood at 3,822 units. The export figure stood at 20,448 units for the given period. Maruti Suzuki also mentioned that the shortage of electronic components had a minor impact on the production of vehicles, but this was mainly for domestic models. However, Maruti Suzuki is taking all possible measures to minimize the impact and ramp up production.
Detailed Sales Breakup – Maruti Suzuki India
For the Mini segment that comprises S-Presso and Alto, Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 24,936 units. Meanwhile, in the Compact segment, which translates to maximum sales, Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 73,685 units. This segment includes the top sellers namely, Baleno, Dzire, Celerio, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, and WagonR. Sales for Maruti Suzuki’s mid-size segment offering, which is the Ciaz, stood at 1,884 units. In the Utility vehicles segment, which includes, Brezza, Ertiga S-Cross, and XL6, the company sold a total of 30,971 units. Eeco, falling under the Van segment, accounted for 8,861 units of sales. All in all, Maruti Suzuki posted a total sales of 140,337 units for the entire passenger vehicle segment in the domestic market.
Super Carry, which retails under the Light Commercial Vehicle segment, sold a total of 2,913 units. Thus, accounting for both passenger and light commercial vehicles, the total Domestic Sales for Maruti Suzuki stood at 143,250 units.
Furthermore, with the launch of the all-new Brezza and the Grand Vitara, the SUV segment is garnering significant sales volume. Moreover, Marut Suzuki is now aggressively marketing its CNG lineup of products. To support this, the company launched the CNG versions of the Baleno and XL6.
