Maruti Suzuki Swift has always been a hot seller in the Indian car market. A popular hatchback, and loved by the masses, the new generation of the Swift has also been accepted very well. Maruti Suzuki reveals that they have sold 1 lakh units of the Swift in just 145 days since launch. This is the 3rd generation Swift which was launched at the Auto Expo 2018 earlier this year in India.

Since the first time that it was introduced in 2005, Maruti Suzuki has sold over 1.89 million units of the Swift in India. Suzuki’s 20 millionth vehicle produced in India was also a Swift.

The new Swift comes with AMT (Auto Gear Shift AGS) technology for both petrol and diesel engine options. This is also a contributing factor for the increased sales. The Swift is now better in space, better in dynamics, better in mileage, better in features and even better in safety. With all the features in place, which most of the competition doesn’t even offer, the Swift continues to have a upper hand in the segment.

The 1.2L petrol motor on the Swift delivers 22 kmpl mileage in manual transmission and AMT. The 1.3L diesel motor of the Swift delivers 28.4 kmpl mileage for both manual and AMT gearbox.
