Maruti Suzuki reveals eVX electric SUV concept, 550 km range

The biggest automobile extravaganza, in India, the Auto Expo 2023, has kicked off in Delhi NCR with an all-new concept car from Maruti Suzuki. The Indo-Japanese brand today reveals a new electric SUV Concept called the eVX. Maruti Suzuki reveals that the long-range electric concept SUV reiterates the brand’s commitment towards sustainable motoring. Thanks to the new eVX Concept SUV, the brand also reinforces its vision of developing sustainable powertrain systems. With this, the brand also shows that it’s continuously driven towards innovation and technological development. Maruti Suzuki also announced that Suzuki Motor Corporation is committed to investing INR 100 billion for the production of BEVs and batteries in India.

What is Maruti Suzuki eVX Concept SUV?

The Maruti Suzuki eVX Concept SUV is a mid-size electric SUV concept designed and developed by Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan. According to Maruti Suzuki the eVX Concept SUV is an ‘Emotional Versatile Cruiser’. The brand also reveals that the eVX is Suzuki’s first Global Strategic EV. Maruti Suzuki offers the eVX Concept SUV with a futuristic SUV design, upright posture and commanding high-seating position. Suzuki Motor Corporation’s Representative Director and President, Mr Toshihiro Suzuki also revealed that the brand plans to bring the eVX to the market by the year 2025.

Maruti Suzuki eVX Concept SUV – Technical Specifications

The Maruti Suzuki eVX Concept SUV measures 4,300mm in length, 1,800mm in width and 1,600mm in height. The brand reveals that the eVX is built on an all-new dedicated EV platform. This new platform offers a 60kWh battery pack with safe battery technology. Thanks to the large battery capacity the eVX claims a driving range of up to 550 km on a single charge.

Maruti Suzuki eVX Concept SUV – Design and Styling

The Maruti Suzuki eVX Concept SUV comes with a futuristic design concept. The SUV holds an upright posture along with a horizontal bonnet, giving it a pronounced stance. In addition to this, the Concept eVX also features a progressive SUV silhouette distinguishing it from a conventional SUV. The brand also reveals that the eVX Concept SUV gets a large cabin size and long wheelbase. The concept eVX comes with large alloy wheels, an air curtain design and high ground clearance. Also, the eVX’s signature LED light design elements come from Suzuki’s SUV heritage.

At the Maruti Suzuki pavilion, the brand is showcasing 16 vehicles including the Grand Vitara, Brezza, XL6, Ertiga, Ciaz, Baleno, Swift and WagonR Flex Fuel, among others.
